We have just taken stock of the Stone Island Autumn / Winter 2013 Ice Jacket J. ICE JACKET J. Both wind and water resistant, this jacket is made from a polyutherane film embedded with micro-encapsulated pigments, which modify the passage of light and change colour in relation to temperature. The film is bonded to a light polyester mesh base and then insulated by a polyester fibre quilting. This jacket features:

• Concealed hood in collar
• Zip and press-stud placket
• Press-stud pockets
• Drawstring hem
• Ribbed insert cuffs
• Removable special edition Stone Island badge
• Throat latch

Fabric composition: External: 100% polyester, Coating: 100% polyurethane, Inside: 97% cotton, 3% elastane, Padding: 100% polyester.


Stone Island extends its research on thermo sensitive materials to stretch fabrics. A water- and wind-resistant polyurethane film is embedded with micro-encapsulated pigments. The molecules of these pigments modify the passage of light and colour morph in relation to temperature changes. The film is bonded to a light polyester mesh base and is used to construct a garment insulated by a polyester fibre quilting.

Stone Island Liquid Reflective Jacket: Now Available

Yesterday we announced the anticipated arrival of the Liquid Reflective jacket from Stone Island.

Now we are pleased to say that the jacket is available to buy online! The jacket which features;

• Full front zip fastening
• Two front pockets with zip fastening
• Fixed quilted down lining
• Concealed technical hood
• Stone Island black and white detachable arm badge which can be worn either internally or externally

Jacket in a highly reflective fabric thanks to a coating made of thousands of glass microspheres. The finished garment has been individually hand sprayed and then oven dried. The diverse refraction and colour intensities, as well as the drippings and ticking effects, make each piece unique and unrepeatable. The coating of the fabric makes the piece water and wind resistant.

Fabric Composition: Outer: 47% Glass Fibre, 27% Special Resin and 26% Polyester, Lining: 100% Polyester, Padding: 100% Polyester.
